Accountants Stuck in the Inertia Trap
All the professions, accountants included, realise change is occurring with the professions. Most professionals realise that change in other professions is happening, is good for the consumers, makes economic sense, adds value, and is inevitable, but just not in their specific profession.
Ninety percent of Australian accounting practices are stuck in the inertia trap. They realise that their practice needs to evolve and adapt to the changing accounting market, but they are actually doing nothing, and making no changes.
Practices hoping the world won’t change is not a strategy for success or survival.
